Today's card will be featuring Lawn Fawn products. I can't believe that I haven't really been using Lawn Fawn as much, knowing how adorable their critters are! I used Bugs and Kisses and Critters in the Jungle and decided to create a fun-filled scene so this is a pretty 'busy' card.
One of my favorite things to do is blend different Distress Inks to create backgrounds so I did the same for this card with Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, and Evergreen Bough. I stamped, colored and die-cut almost everything from the Bugs and Kisses set and the bird and grass from Critters in the Jungle. It took me a while to figure out what pieces to use for the card.
The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed in white. To create the top thin frame, I die cut an A2 size rectangle from a yellow patterned paper from this pad and then die cut a slightly smaller rectangle within it. I figured the thinner the frame, the bigger the scene! I attached an A2 size acetate sheet behind the yellow frame. The grass, bugs and heart were glued down on top of the acetate sheet. The jar was colored with Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough to match the background, and I separated the lid so it could look like the fireflies came out of it. I added them to the distress-colored piece using foam tape for dimension. I added thin foam tape behind the yellow frame, filled the card with a mix of sequins, stars, and beads and sealed with the top layer. The branch and bird were added to the right side of the card.
Hope you enjoyed today's card! Have a great week.
