Good morning, Jessica here! I am absolutely in love with the new release from Lawn Fawn and I was so excited to see that Vanessa is carrying the entire release in the shop! My card for today uses one of the smaller new stamp sets, So Jelly!
I started off by stamping the jellyfish from So Jelly onto a piece of watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink before heat-embossing it with clear powder. Then I used a Clean Color Real Brush marker in dark pink to color the jellyfish. I added a little color to the top of the jellyfish, the spots, and the tops of the tentacles. Then I used a clear wink of stella glitter brush to blend the color out across the jellyfish and add a little sparkle! After the jellyfish was totally dry I used the matching dies to cut out each one.
Next I took a piece of watercolor paper trimmed to 4" by 7" and taped it to my craft sheet. Then I smooshed salty ocean, mermaid lagoon, chipped sapphire, and peacock feathers distress ink onto the craft sheet and spritzed it with water. I use a piece of acetate to pick up the ink and transfer it to the panel. Once I was happy with the ink placement I dried it with my heat gun. Then I added a second layer of distress ink to the panel for a darker look towards the bottom of the panel and dried that with the heat gun as well. I added a few drops of water and a few spritzes of shimmer spray for more sparkle and dimension.
Then I took a piece of vellum and die-cut the ocean wave using the Lawn Fawn Ocean Waves Border die set. I stamped the sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments with Versamark and then heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. To assemble the card I adhered some of the jellyfish behind the vellum and one above the vellum with foam mounting tape. I used vellum tape to adhere the vellum to the distress ink panel and then finished the card with a sprinkling of sparkling clear 4 and 6mm sequins.
Thanks so much for visiting...see you next week! :)
