Happy Sunday! We have a special treat for you all today! Our guest Designer this month is none other than Heather Pulvirenti!
Here's a little introduction about Heather and then you can read below to learn how she created an incredibly stunning watercolored card!
Hi! My name is Heather Pulvirenti, though most people in the blogosphere know me as Heather P. :) I live in Columbia, MD with my husband Jason, our 10 year old daughter Lindsay, and an assortment of little boogers (aka our cats and dog). Our daughter is a total spitfire, and I just love her to pieces.
I was born in England, and have spent most of my life in the US (in Maryland and Virginia), except for the four years we lived in Canberra, Australia (my mom was career Air Force). I am currently a SAHM, but since my daughter is off during the day at school, I fill my days working on remodeling projects around the house, and running my little Etsy business.
I started paper crafting a little over 10 years ago after being invited by my husband's aunt to a Stampin' Up! workshop, and I haven't looked back since. LOL, my style and go-to colors have definitely changed over time, but there's something so enjoyable about creating that never waivers.

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here, and I'm so excited to be the Guest Designer this month for Butterfly Reflections Ink! :)
Hand lettering and fonts that look like hand lettering are all the rage in the industry at the moment. I don't usually fall in love with trends while they're current, but I am a sucker for beautiful fonts! When I saw the True Friends set from My Favorite Things, I knew it had to be mine. I love the versatility of the sentiments in the set, and the lettering is just gorgeous.
To create my card, I started with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper, and stamped one of the sentiments from True Friends in Versamark ink before heat embossing with white embossing powder. I then repeated the process with three of the little heart images in the set. Once that was done, I used Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks diluted with water to create a fun watercolor background to frame my sentiment. Once the background had dried, I trimmed the edges of the watercolor paper a smidge then adhered the layer to a white card base using pop dots. To finish up, I embellished with sequins.
YAY for Heather!
