Hello! Rubeena here with a really cute Lawn Fawn card! Have you been checking out their new release previews? They come out with the cutest critters! I know you're just as excited as I am for release day! Today's card features only Life is Good stamps and dies. I've been wanting to create more Lawn Fawn scene cards, but this time I tried watercoloring. I'm fairly new to this. I mean, I'm new to coloring altogether! ;-) I used distress ink pads and markers to watercolor everything on this card. As a kid, I didn't get to color much. I mostly read like the inner nerd I am. I feel like the kid in me has come out during my crafting journey.
First, I used a unique size. I saw these watercolor cards 4x9 on an art website and thought they would be cool to use. The size is great for a beach scene, don't you think?! So I started with stamping the sand outline first in Antique Linen and then some waves in the back in Salty Ocean. I used the same inks to color in sand and water. I came in with Vintage Photo to add some shadowing to the sand. I used Mermaid Lagoon to add some shadowing to the waves. For the sun in the back, I used Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade.
Using Antique Linen again, I stamped a bunch of the images from the set onto a separate watercolor sheet. I watercolored with various Distress Ink markers. Once they were all colored, I die-cut them and arranged them over the sand. I stamped some of the bird outlines in the back and stamped the sentiments "relax" and "life is good." I added in the periods with a black marker.
Lately the weather has been chilly here in NJ. I can't wait to get to FL next week and get to 'relax' :-) I hope you enjoyed my card! Thanks for visiting!
This is STUNNING Ruby! You need to color more often!! ;)
