Cold Hands, Warm Hearts.

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Both of our littles were sick on Thanksgiving, so we just had a quiet day at home, just the four of us. I had to cook our feast, and the results were questionable, though my hubby puts on a very brave face and even ate leftovers! Such a trooper. :)

My cards today are relatively simple... just a bit of stamping and watercolor. I saw these new stamps from Wild Rose Studio and couldn't resist... even though they are a little "cute" for my taste. Branching out is good, right?

I started out by taking a panel of 3 1/2x 4 1/2 watercolor card stock and stamping the snow family image from Snowmen using black Archival ink.

I then colored the snowmen in with a variety of Zig Clean Color markers. I used a super super pale blue marker to get the shading for the "white" snowmen and made sure they had noses made of coal. :) I added some clear Wink of Stella to the noses and buttons, then covered them with Glossy Accents. The gift on the teal card is also colored with a silver Wink of Stella, while the pink card has a purple gift covered with clear Wink of Stella.

The sentiment is from the new Concord and 9th set Mittens and Mugs. I posted a sappy story on my Instagram last night about how much I love this sentiment. #christmasmakesmesentimental #sorrynotsorry

The final touch was to add some snowflakes from the Lia Griffith Snowflakes mini set in Silver Delicata ink. I matted the watercolor panels with some coordinating glitter or shimmer card stock, then mounted them on the A2 card base.

I hope you like these cards and don't mind my sappy-ness. :) If you haven't already shopped the Butterfly Reflections Ink Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, it runs through tonight! TWENTY PERCENT off your entire purchase! Use code GRATEFUL20. Happy shopping!
