Hey guys, it's Jung here with my last post as a regular design team member. I hope you guys have enjoyed seeing my creations every Wednesday for the past few months! I know I have enjoyed creating and sharing with you guys here! I am sure you will get tons of inspiration from the new design team members, and I hope to be back as a guest designer real soon (hint, hint!) Okay, now on to what I have created...
Today, I have 2 striped cards for you!
Today, I have 2 striped cards for you!
For both of these cards, I used My Favorite Things' watercolor stripes background stamp, Tim Holtz distress ink (I'll list the colors I used below), Lawn Fawn's stitched heart stackables lawn cuts, Altenew's label love stamp set, Versamark ink, Ranger's clear embossing powder, Lucy's card's sequin mix in gold dust, and some gold thread.
First, I inked up my ink pad with distress inks, then I gave the background stamp 1-2 sprays with my water bottle before stamping. Once I stamped, I gave the cardstock a couple sprays with my water bottle, allowing for some big water drops as well, and let it sit for a few seconds before dabbing up the water with a paper towel. Once the cardstock was dry, I die cut a heart out of the middle. I popped the outside panel up with some foam tape, and glued the inside heart to my card base to create an inlaid die cut effect. I finished the cards up with one of the labels from my favorite Label Love stamp set, which I heat embossed, some gold thread, and my favorite gold sequin mix.
For the blue/green ombre card, the distress inks I used were broken china, peacock feathers, evergreen bough, and pine needles.
For the rainbow card, the distress inks I used were candied apple, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, lucky clover, salty ocean, and wilted violet.
That's it for me! Happy Wednesday!
Great cards, I love the stripes!
