Avery Elle Viking and Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

I am so excited to be a part of the new Butterfly Reflection's Ink Design Team that I'm speechless! Ha! Let me tell ya boys and girls, that's rare. Ask my kids.

Before I share my cards with you, allow me introduce myself. My name is Cynde Whitlow and I live in Montana with my husband, four kids and one fur baby. The first picture I can remember drawing was a purple horse with a brown paper bag over it's head in Kindergarten. So, I've always been creative, but I've only been making cards for a year. I LOVE to share what I make. I hope I inspire people so they can be creative too! I have a blog called The Pink Envelope and you are welcome to stop by and see my other cards there.

Okey dokey, enough about me. Let's talk about the Avery Elle Viking Stamp Set. Seriously
peeps? Have you seen this? I clapped my hands like a demented seal when I saw this! Not even kidding.

Clean and simple is almost always first choice for me and this guy was no different. I really wanted his beard to pop, so I colored him in with Copic's and went with an Orangey-Red color.

To make him to stand out even more, I used the Viking Elle-ments Die to partial die cut the panel. Love this technique!

For the colored panel, I used a Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool and applied Lawn Fawn Peacock Ink. You could take the Ink Pad directly to the paper, but I prefer using the Ink Blending Tool. I think it gives it a much softer look.

I then used one of the We R Memory Keepers Quilted 3D Embossing Folders to add a lil texture to the Ink Blended Panel.

One of my favorite things about using simple images and making clean and simple cards is, it's always easy to make more than one at a time. I do this a lot. It's awesome for stash building or if you have lots of folks to send cards to!

So, I finished these guys off with a few sequins from Lucy's Cards Jack Frost Sequin Shaker Mix and some DMC Silver Embroidery Thread.

That's it! Thank you for stoping by. Again, I'm so happy to be here. I look forward to working with my new team and bringing inspiration to you all! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for more crafty fabulousness!

Until next time!
