Steeped In Love

Hey folks!

Clean and simple has to be, hands down, my most favorite approach in card making. I just LOVE stamping an image, coloring it in and calling it a day. Building scenes, getting technical and fancy schmancy is great and all, but I really enjoy an image that can stand alone on the front of a card.

So, that's what todays cards are all about! Let's face it peeps, almost all of my cards are like this, but let's focus on today shall we?

I stamped this sweet, sweet girl from the Steeped In Love Stamp Set by My Favorite Things on three panels of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock with My Favorite Things Black Licorice Ink.

There are soo many mediums that would be super duper for coloring this in, but I was really enjoy the way Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils pop.

For all three of my cards, I used a Lawn Fawn Scalloped Border Die on the Panels and pieces of My Favorite Things Translucent Vellum to go underneath.

My Favorite Things Pink Lemonade, Blu Raspberry and Grape Jelly Card Stock were used for my Card Bases and I finished all of them off with Clear Wink of Stella and Ranger Glossy Accents on the Flowers. Aaand because I don't know when to leave well enough alone, I also added some Sequins from the Jack Frost Shaker Mix by Lucy's Cards.

That's it peeps! Easy Peasy. I hope you enjoyed my cards today. I have some more My Favorite Things love on The Pink Envelope blog. ALSO, at the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop you can take 20% off using code HAVEATIT20 between now and January 13th!

Until next time!
