Hello, my friends! Janette here. I am so excited to bring you this fabulous card today so, let's get to it!
Okay, do you ever see a new product and think "ya, that's neat but I'm not ______ enough to use that." Some people feel that way about Colorbursts. You might not feel crafty enough, good enough, creative enough, etc... Don't be intimidated. This may be the technique for you!
Begin by misting watercolor paper lightly with water. Break out those Colorbursts. You can find the newest dry powders (matte finish) here, the new Liquid Metals (shimmer finish) here and here, or individually here. Simply tap powder on your dampened paper and drip drops of liquid metal. Give another light water mist and either let your paper sit to dry or pick up and tilt to get those colors moving. Play to your hearts content. Add Colorbursts, blot, mist, brush, shimmy and/or shake. Enjoy watching the colors bloom. Do know that the color will continue to move on its own a bit until they dry. This technique is super fun and forgiving!
Once completely dry, take out your favorite stamps and dies. I chose Lawn Fawn's new Loveable Legends and Meadow Border Lawn Cuts for the Colorburst paper. I stamped the included party hats on Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid 6x6 paper. I stamped my images in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink and fussy cut them. I rough trimmed the area around my grass dies and ran them through my die cutter.
I assembled the card onto heavyweight cardstock blended with Lawn Fawn Fish Tank ink and stamped the sentiment. The finishing touches were complete with additional Perfectly Plaid paper and a few sequins. Don't forget to clean off your stamps with the new fabulous Lawn Fawn Shammy! Cleans your stamps in a snap with just water!
I hope you feel confident that you can play with Colorbursts too! Thank you for popping in today!
