Hey folks!
Ok, so I tried something a lil different than what I'm used to with the card I'm sharing with you today. Gotta be honest, the jury is still out for me. I wanted to share it with you all anyway, because I really enjoyed the process and I certainly enjoyed the products!
I knew I would be layering my images from the Create A Smile Crokisses Stamp Set so I made mask using Inkadinkdo Stamping Mask Paper. I tell ya folks, I am over the moon for Create A Smile stamps!
Next, I stamped my images on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac. Also, instead of going with a traditional green for the "leaves" in the stamp set, I thought I would try something different and go with gray. So I stamped those with Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke.
No Line Coloring isn't new to me. I LOVE this technique. Usually however, I will start with my lightist color and build up to the darkest. It's well within my comfort zone (and need for control bwahahaha). This time, I decided to start with my darkest colors and work to lightest.
I used Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac for the flowers and Black Soot and Hickory Smoke for the "leaves." I also used Hickory Smoke to splatter drops on the background.
I don't think there's any right or wrong way to do this peeps. Personally, if I were to do it again this way, I wouldn't go with the No Line Technique until I practiced more with lined images. I feel it was much too easy to go too dark and start losing lines.
To finish off my card, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the highlights of the flowers.
I then trimmed it down and cut two strips of My Favorite Thing Translucent Vellum. Before I placed the panel over the vellum I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Border Die to add a lil somethin to it.
