Hey folks!
I hope that every one is having a fantabulous weekend! It's Spring break in my house. The weather has been awesome! I haven't had ANY time to go out and enjoy it, but it's awesome nonetheless!
I always struggle to come up with ideas for cards for my husband. So I thought I'd do something a lil different this time and let him decide...he wasn't very helpful. Needless to say all I got out of THAT endeavor was he wanted the card to have the same colors as his snowmobile. Right-O.
For my card today, I used the Wplus9 Happy Birds Stamp Set. This set is ridiculous cute. I love that you could really go to town an create an entire scene, but I also love that the Birds can stand on their own.
I used my MISTI Stamping Tool and Ranger Distress Watercolor Paper, I stamped all of my images with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder.
Then I colored these guys in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. These Birds would be great in any color you wanted! Green and orange just happened to be the theme of the day here folks...
After my panel was dry, I used a My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to trim it down.
Using the My Favorite Things Burlap Background Stamp with My Favorite Things Gumdrop Green Hybrid Ink, I stamped my Gumdrop Green Cardstock Card Base. Another really cool background for this would be the My Favorite Things Lots of Dots Background Stamp.
To finish off my card, I added a lil bit of Clear Wink of Stella (cause shimmery if cool, even if he doesn't think so) as well as some white dots to the birdies with a Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen.
I also added a few sequins from the Jack Frost Sequin Shaker Selection by Lucy's Cards and for good measure I put drops of Ranger Frosted Lace Stickles in the middle of each.
That's it! Easy peasy. As always thanks so much for stopping in to see me today, I hope you enjoyed my card. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see more crafty fabulousness AND be sure to head on over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop peeps, there loads to check out there!
Until next time!
