Hey folks!
I am so excited to share my card with you all today! Lawn Fawn is one of my FAVORITE companies and the Lovable Legends Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn is so ridiculous cute, I can't even stand it and the new Lawn Fawn Cardstocks? Yes, please!
I started by stamping my image with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored him in with Copic's. You could totally color this guy in with any color, but I really loved the idea of purple.
There is a matching die available, but I wanted to fussy cut instead.
Next, on Ranger Distress Watercolor Paper using Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers and Pine Needles, I loosely watercolored the panel.
This is one of my favorite ways to watercolor. I start with layers of fairly diluted color and work my way to a darker color. The trick is to make sure each layer of color is completely dry before you add the next. Also I always finish my watercoloring off with splattering some clean water over it, letting it sit for just a sec or two, then pick it up with a paper towel.
Using a die from the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables Set, I trimmed down the panel.
On Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and die cut it with a banner die from the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner Die Set.
I used another Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die and die cut a piece of My Favorite Things Transparent Vellum and put everything on a Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock Card Base.
Then, to finish this bad boy off, I added a few sequins from the Jack Frost Sequin Shaker Selction by Lucy's Cards.
That's it! easy peasy. I hope you enjoyed my card today! As usual be sure to stop in again tomorrow for more crafty fabulousness and also be sure to stop in the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop!
Until next time!
