Hi guys! It's Kimberly from Kimplete Kreativity back again with you today. I went super bright and cheery with my card last week, so I thought I'd change it up and go soft and sweet this week!
SUPPLIES:
Vellum
Gold thread
I stamped and heat embossed the beautiful butterfly from Jane's Doodles' Butterflies stamp set onto vellum and colored within the lines with Copic markers. I love the stained glass effect! I colored on both sides of the vellum to intensify the color, but you could color just on the back side for a softer look! Once completely colored, I fussy cut the butterfly and set it aside to work on the rest of the card.
I die cut a yellow frame and a white frame using the pierced rectangle frames. I used the interior piece from the white frame as my focal panel, and flicked on some of the Blue Gold color from the Starry Colors palette with a wet paintbrush. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment and small butterflies with Versafine ink. I stamped the sentiment once more on aqua paper and cut out just the word 'Awesome' and placed it over top of the sentiment on my focal panel so that it would have more impact on the card. As a final touch, I used some gold thread I had on hand to make a "thread nest" for my butterfly to perch on. I adhered the butterfly with a a few glue dots (added to the center of the body only) so that the wings would have some lift and dimension.
I hope you've enjoyed my card today! I'll see you again next week - happy hump day!! :)
ooooohhhhhh.....I love this. The colors are pure perfection.
