I started by die cutting several colors of cardstock with the Snow Drifts die to create my sand, water & sunset pieces, and then made another cut from white cardstock. Can I just tell you how much I LOVE this cover-up die? So many possibilities with this one!! I adhered the frame piece to my card base and then added in my colored pieces and voila! Instant background!
I stamped the sweet flamingo lovebirds (ha ha!) in the lower left hand corner with my MISTI to ensure perfect placement. I stamped the flamingos one more time on another piece of cardstock with the Memento ink and colored those in and fussy cut them out. I adhered them right on top of the stamped flamingos on my panel so that I didn't have to fussy cut those tiny legs! A little bit of Glossy Accents on their beaks and they were complete.
I curved my sentiment a bit to follow the curve of the Snow Drifts die and stamped it with Versafine Black Onyx ink - my favorite ink for sentiments because it's a nice, bold black.
I hope you've enjoyed my card today! I'll see you again next week! :)
