Good Morning!!! I'm back with a new card featuring Concord and 9th products, some older, some new!!
As soon as I looked at the Give Thanks stamp set, I instantly gravitated toward the leaf image that looks like a heart. I also used the Friend Like You Dies.
I really struggle with color combinations so I used one of the Distress Ink Recipes. Recipe #5 to be exact. Those colors are Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw and Stormy Sky.
I only inked up the edge and stamped directly onto some Watercolor Paper and smoothed the ink out with my water brush.

I only inked up the edge and stamped directly onto some Watercolor Paper and smoothed the ink out with my water brush.
After stamping the entire background in this way, I added a few layers using the same inks with less water so the color was more intense.
Without taking apart the dies, I die cut the Friend Like You dies in the middle of the panel. And look at all the prettiness that was left over!!
I also used the scallop frame from MFT's Blueprints 27 to cut down my watercolored piece. I was careful to centre the die because I was hoping to use the leftover, outer piece to make a second card.
I backed the sentiment with some black cardstock to make it pop against the background, added a bit on Clear Wink of Stella to the pink "hearts" and adhered it to a white card base. And added some Matte White Enamel Dots. And here it is, my finished card...
I hope you enjoyed my card for today!! And as always, thank you for stopping by and HAPPY MONDAY!!!
LAURIE
Really nice!!! Love it!
