Hi, my name is Lysa and I am SO excited to be guest designing for Butterfly Reflections, Ink. this month! I live in Sunny Arizona, and I'm a married stay-at-home-mama to my super energetic 4 year old son, and a sweet 1 year old daughter. I'm a card-maker the majority of the time, but I do dabble in scrapbooking for my kids' albums. I love to be crafty, from DIY projects around the house, gardening (did someone say succulents?), to baking- I enjoy anything that involves somethinghandmade or homemade! You can find my blog at Lysa Q Rohrer Designs, or I"m also on Instagram- @lysaqr.

Since it's still SUMMER here in Arizona for *at least* another month or 2, I used the darling Little Mermaids from The Greeting Farm! Nothing says summer like mermaids, right?
To make my card, I die cut a circle and blended Distress Inks (Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Tea Dye & a touch of Ground Espresso) to create my underwater scene. I stamped the mermaid and accessories in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers, fussy cut them and traced the outside edge in black for a nice clean look. I played around with the arrangement a bit to set my scene- and adhered the mermaid along with the seaweed, sandcastle & a fish with foam tape for more dimension. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. Finally, I added the circle scene to my card base (that I embossed using the We R Memory Keepers Polka Dot embossing folder) using some craft foam, and finished it off by adding some sparkle using a clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen!
I hope you liked my card and it gives you a bit of crafty inspiration to start off your week!
Hugsxx
Lysa
