Good morning everyone! Are you glad today is Friday? I am. :)
Gladys here with a Halloween card for you today. Do you celebrate Halloween where you're from? In Hawaii it is a huge thing for the kids to dress up and go trick or treating. I don't dress up but I do like seeing people in their costumes except for the scary ones. The costumes on my card is nothing but scary. I used Lawn Fawn new stamp set called Happy Howloween which is available in the shop. The stamps include 3 dog images and various costumes. I love the hot dog costume but unfortunately I didn't use it on this card but will definitely make it's way onto a future project. I also used an older stamp set called Happy Haunting.
For my background I colored it with distress inks: dusty concord, abandoned coral, mustard seed, and black soot. The dogs, costumes and haunted house were colored with Copic markers. I die cut the dogs and costumes using the coordinated dies which is also available in the shop. I noticed with Lawn Fawn stamps it's a good idea to get the coordinating dies because some of the images are really small and fussy cutting them can be difficult. Whoever thought of coordinating dies is a genius and made my life so much easier! I adhered double sided foam tape onto the images for added dimension. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. To complete the card I cut the largest stitch rectangle frame from black cardstock to frame the card panel.
That is all for me today. Now I need to go shop for my kids costumes. What will you dress up as this Halloween?
Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome weekend!
How cute & adorable!!
