As the fall season gets further underway, the time for Thanksgiving fast approaches.
Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly, and I was inspired by the colors that Autumn brings and the time of reflection of the upcoming holiday. I started my card by distress ink blending some orange and red hues onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. This paper was meant for heaving inking of the distress inks, and helps blend the inks with ease. I added some texture by splattering some water onto the panel and picking up the ink with a paper towel. The next step was to die cut a number of birch trees from My Favorite Thing's Birch Tree Die-namics from white cardstock and adhered them to the colored panel with Tombo Mono Adhesive and the center tree with dimensional adhesive. I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink the large, lovely greeting from Right at Home's Script Greeting Stamp Set. The panel was adhered to a white cardstock base, also with dimensional adhesive and then For additional interest, some birch tree die cuts were adhered to the white card base.
To finish the card, I heat embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder in Super Fine White the coordinating sentiment from Script Greetings onto a piece of teal cardstock, and adhered this to the card with dimensional adhesive.
Here's a close up of all the dimension on the card!
