Hey friends! It's Christy here. You know that old saying, "great minds think alike?" Well, I had to smile when I saw Mayra's post from Thursday and her absolutely stunning projects using the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love stamps and dies, because I already had these guys colored up and sitting on my desk for today's card! I thought about trying to come up with a new idea, and even pulled out a few different stamp sets and supplies, but nothing seemed to click, so I thought, what the heck, why not just show how versatile these stamps can be! With all the various coloring choices of markers, and mediums, and techniques, you're practically guaranteed to get a different look every time.
I set the scene for these guys by stamping Newton's Nook Whispering Pines with Lawn Fawn's Freshly Cut Grass and Noble Fir inks, utilizing not only the tree cluster image, but also the two single trees included in this set for a nice variety of heights and shapes. I used the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics to die-cut my focal panel, then sponged on a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for my sky.
These gorgeous patterned papers are from the Warm & Cozy 6x6 pad by Pebbles. Aren't they just perfect for this set? Love. I also added a little stitched detail to my buffalo plaid flag with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banner dies just to tie that in to the stitching around the focal panel.
And that's it! These little cuties are extra special to me, because I colored them to look like my hubby and I. ;) I hope you enjoyed it! Have an awesome day!
