Served Up by Create A Smile Stamps

Hello, this is Nicky back with you today with this fun and sweet card by Create A Smile Stamps - the set is called Served Up.

This is a highly dimensional and multi-layered card (it's all fun until you try and get it into the envelope right)?

The base is 110lb Kraft card stock and upon this is layered 2 previously die cut mats - I always have a selection on hand in my most used colours because it really speeds up the card making process.  A smaller panel of white card stock was trimmed to the perfect size and then I masked off a portion of it and then just eyeballing it (because I like to live life on the edge) I repeatedly stamped the sentiment 'treat yourself' from the stamp set, rotating through 4 different colours of pastel inks.

The masking was removed and the panel adhered to the base with foam tape.  Next I stamped all the images onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink in black.  I watercolour painted them using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut everything out.

All of the components were layered into the scene using more foam tape.  Sometimes I'll just use one layer of tape but in other areas I'll go to 2 or 3 layers to really provide depth through layering although I'd advise if you do this you need to cut equally measured pieces so that when viewed from the side it looks very neat!  The card received a healthy application of Wink of Stella in Clear and once that was dry I used my Uni-Ball Signo white pen to highlight several points.  The inside of the card has a white writing insert, I like to add these inserts in either my high end cards or when Kraft card stock is used as the card base.

I hope you enjoyed my little creation this week, I will be back next Tuesday with another card and in the meantime you can follow me and my other work on Instagram #nickynoocards,  Pinterest and Facebook.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful and creative week, Nicky
