Hi friends!! Happy Monday! It's Kari with you today with my first post designing with BRI, and I couldn't be happier! I am honored to be on a team with such talent!! For the month of May, you can find me right here bringing you projects every Monday, so I hope you visit then and everyday that each DT member blogs bringing daily inspiration!!
Up today, I wanted to create a fun, happy and yummy card!! I live in the Midwest, and as I am writing this up, a week ago we suffered some major flooding in and around my area, so much so, it has been labeled as historic!! So, I wanted to go to a "happier place" by creating with some fun colors and layering up some popsicles using THIS Sunny Studio layering set, called Perfect Popsicles! I absolutely love all of Sunny Studio's layering sets! They are so much fun and enjoyable to work with, and the results that you get are magical! It just makes me giddy!
I started off by taking a piece of smooth white card stock, and I inked up my popsicles using all Lawn Fawn inks! For the Green I used - Jalapeno, Celery Stick, and Freshly Cut Grass. For the Yellow I used - Sunflower, Butter, and Carrot. And, for the pink I used - Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, and Guava, and for the stick of the popsicle, I only used one layer and one color, Doe Of course I used my Mini MISTI stamping tool as it helps tremendously when working with layering stamp sets! Once I was done with all of my stamping, I used the Coordinating Perfect Popsicles Dies to cut out my images.
Now, it is time to die cut my other elements to my card design, so I die cut another piece of smooth white card stock using one of the Scalloped Rectangles Stacklables from Lawn Fawn, and also the Scallop Square Tags Dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I also cut down a piece of pattern paper using the Sunshiny Days 6x6 from Pebbles. I love this paper pad! So many fun and colorful patterns!
Before I started to assemble my card, I went ahead and stamped out my sentiment 'Have A Sweet Day' which is from the same stamp set! I used the Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn! It has quickly become a favorite of mine!
I adhered all of my pieces together on my white A2 top fold white card base, and I used foam adhesive to pop up the tag as well as the middle popsicle to make it visually pleasing! For a final touch, I used some Wink of Stella shimmer to finish off the popsicles! And I also stamped a greeting from the same set on the inside!
I hope you enjoyed this card!! I do have a video tutorial as well, and you can visit my Youtube channel to see how I put this one together! Thank you all for stopping by and I will see you right back here next Monday! Have a great week!!
