Welcome back friends! Kari with you once more to share this card featuring a new set from The Greeting Farm called You're Spectacular! This set makes me happy as I, myself am a glasses wearer and what is so fun about this set is that there is different styles of glasses.
So, I took advantage of this, and used three of the different styles of glasses and created a background with it. I first prepped my white card panel with my powder tool and I wanted to emboss these images with white embossing powder. I randomly stamped out the glasses all over the panel, and then coated them with the embossing powder, and then used my heat tool to set the powder. Then, I chose three colors of Distress Oxide inks to do the emboss resist technique. I used Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet. I absolutely love these colors together!! So YUMMY!! And, these inks blend so effortlessly!
Once I was completely done with the inking, I used my Distress Sprayer water bottle and spritzed some water for a more "distressed" look. I set that panel aside and worked on my main image of the cute girl. I stamped her onto a piece of scrap white card stock with my Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn and used my Copic Markers to color her in. For her skin, I used E11 and E33. For her hair, I used E09 and E39, and for her dress and boots, I used FB2, V17, YG21 and YG05. Then, I used the coordinating die to cut her out. For the sentiment, I stamped it onto a piece of white card stock and die cut it with the Mini Scallop Rectangle Dies from MFT.
I added some foam tape to both my girl image and the sentiment strip, and added them both to my card panel. Then, I added that whole piece to an A2 Black card base. For a final touch, I added some glossy accents to her glasses to give it some shine and to make them look more realistic.
I love how fun and vibrant this card is, and I hope it makes YOU feel SPEC-tacular too!! Have a great week!! Next week will be my final DT post to share with all of you!
