Hi all! Happy Saturday! Kari with you today to share this card featuring the adorable Pure Innocence girl from My Favorite Things, and she's all about feeling the Fall Season and eating her apples! I love this little set! Not only it is a great set for Fall themed cards, but for Teachers as well!!
I couldn't wait to ink her up and color her with my Copic markers! I even got ambitious and paper- pieced her little jacket!! I started out this card by die cutting a white card stock circle from the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scallop Circles dies, and stamped my main image from the MFT set Love You To The Core, and inked it up using my favorite black ink for Copic coloring - Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I did some super duper easy coloring, and then stamped this image again - once for my mask that I will use later, and again onto a piece of pattern paper for the jacket portion of the image. I carefully used my detail scissors to cut out the jacket. To give it a finished edge, I just used my black felt tip marker, and that really cleans up that white core on the pattern paper. Before I adhered the pattern paper to the image, I used my mask that I created, and I carefully covered up the stamped image on my die cut circle with the mask, and I used my blending tool and some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add some color to the background for a sky. Once I was happy with that - I removed my mask, and then added my pattern paper pieces. This REALLY made this part of the image pop!!
To finish up my card - I die cut another piece of pattern paper with a Right At Home Stitched Rectangle die - added that to my white A2 card base. I added some foam adhesive to the back of my focal panel to give it some dimension. For my sentiment - I used a banner die ( that I really don't know the manufacture) that I love, and die cut some red card stock. I prepped the surface of the banner piece with my anti static powder tool, and stamped my sentiment with VersaMark ink and then coated it with White Hero Arts embossing powder. Then, used my heat tool to set. Love how the white embossed sentiment pops off that red!! I also added some foam adhesive to my sentiment banner strip and added that to my card. For a final touch, I added some clear Wink of Stella to the apples to give them some shine!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! Hope to see you back here soon!!
