Hello crafty friends! I am back today with a fairly simple card for the season. It's early December, but it is also crunch time for me and my Christmas cards. So, my cards tend to get more simple and easily mass produced, since I send a lot of cards out each year.
I die cut the cute holly leaves and berries from the Pretty Pink Posh Festive Holly die set out of watercolor paper. Then I watercolored them using Distress inks (Mowed Lawn and Festive Berries) I set them aside to dry.
I used a piece of woodgrain cardstock for this next step. I diluted some Hickory Smoke distress ink on an acrylic block and then lightly brushed a rectangle onto my card panel using a water brush. Be careful to not use much water or it will damage the paper. I let it dry and then added another light layer of color in order to intensify it a bit.
I stamped the greeting from Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Greetings set in Versafine Black Onyx ink using my Misti. I used my Misti because on textured paper, I sometimes need to double stamp it to get a good impression.
I then used Scotch foam tape to mount my arrangement of holly leaves.
That is it for this card. This is a totally easy card to mass produce, and I think all the texture and simple greeting is just lovely.
Thanks for stopping by - be sure to check out the store for all the fun items I used and more!
Peace,
Jacquie
That’s a wonderful card !
