Hello, hello!
Erica back on the BRI blog today! For this post I have done a little something different, I haven't coloured or stamped up any new images at all. Instead I looked in my little (but very overflowing) box of already coloured images, diecuts and stamped up sentiments and thought I'd challenge myself to use these rather than indulge my love of colouring again.
I have a habit of colouring, colouring, colouring and then colouring some more... aaaaand then put the images aside with an 'I'll use them one day' attitude but when you do this continuously the stash does grow rather rapidly. So, it was time for an intervention for myself, hence this challenge.
Aside from all these images and diecuts, I do have some card bases laying around for those times when I need quick cards and for all these, five in total, I used 4"x4" textured ready-creased cards.

Ok, so onto the cards themselves. I sat at my craft table and puzzled with the images, diecuts, bits and pieces and tried keeping the cards quite simple but still impactful. As I also struggle with clean and simple card designs I tried keeping them all in this category. A sucker for punishment I am! (Read in a Yoda voice 😆)
This flower I coloured months and months ago, but haven't done anything with since. Time to remedy that! It went on the first card along with some leaves I also stamped up ages ago.
In keeping with the colour scheme, I heat embossed the sentiment in Platinum embossing powder and then added the flower to the card with some foam tape and placed the leaves in their spots with some liquid glue.
In keeping with the Clean and Simple technique, I only stamped a straight to the point sentiment and then adhered the heart layers and the bear. WITHOUT using foam tape!!! *gasp*
A 'Congratulations' card made with the MFT Congratulations circle die and a flower made with Altenew's Fantasy Floral diecuts. I had used the markers in the photo to make my own coloured card stock.
This card doesn't have any stamping on it whatsoever which makes it a really quick card to make, if you have your pieces already done.

An already diecut MFT Stamps 'Stars' diecut got some gold glitter added to it to make it sparkle and was the star of the show on this encouragement card. Shimmer and glitter is always a bit difficult to photograph well, it is so shimmery in real life but doesn't really show that well here.
The background is cut out using a Pretty Pink Posh diecut and the sentiment is heat embossed on an already cut out banner. The Man said he thinks the banner should have been white but I didn't have a white one already done, and whilst I agree that it probably would look nicer, I was determined to use what I already had.
It's no secret I am an absolutely crazy dog lady, I L-O-V-E doggies! Both real ones and stamped ones. This little doggie I coloured in the colours of my little Cheeky Chicas as it reminds me of Gem-Gem. She's got that slightly aloof look at times and often look like she is smiling.
A simple sentiment, heat embossed, on the card was all I did before adhering the dog and her pink bed. That sentiment is so sweet too.
Put together, they are quite the random bunch of cards but all useful. Like, for instance, the get well card: I have a friend who's just broken her ankle, poor thing. That card with some get-well-soon yummies will be going in the mail this week.
Another friend is going through a tough time, so she's getting the card with the smiling dog, to cheer her up a little. Which kind of looks a bit like one of my cheeky chicas, doesn't it??
The sweetheart note will definitely be for The Man *insert soppy noises here*
The other two cards I'm not sure where they are going to go just yet, but that's the beauty of having cards ready-made for all occasions. When I need one, it is ready to go right away.
Well, whilst this wasn't perhaps the most exciting of posts, I hope I have inspired you to use up your already coloured images if you have some of those laying around. If you don't and you use all of them right away, could you please share your secret here?? I seriously don't know how people do that...
