Sorry guys, that's the lamest of blog titles, but it was the best my poor, tired brain could come up with!
Norine from The Velvet Lemon, back with you today with some pretty layered stamping floral cards. I got to use a fun variety of products this week, to create these cards and I'm going to share them all with you here.
To start with, I wanted to play with my new Altenew Crisp Dye Inks, to get a feel for the various color combinations. So I used the floral stamp from the Story of Us floral layering stamp set from Altenew to try the various ink combinations and the flower I used on the gingham card is the Red Cosmos series, while the one on the quilted background card below uses the Tea Party ink set. The leaves are a mix of Frayed Leaf for the base with a tad of Minty Mint thrown in here and there, and then layered, or actually just restamped with darker shades around the edges using Forest Glade, and Moss.
The gingham card uses the Many Thanks stamp set from The Stamp Market and I stamped it first on the patterned paper card panel and again on the stamped flower. The flower is popped up with foam tape so the dimension of the sentiment looks really cool! I used patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Gingham paper pack as well as a scrap from my cut-offs stash. Finally a machine stitched partial line around 3 edges and some black enamel dots to finish.
For the card below, I die cut some white card stock with the gorgeous Quilted Backdrop die from Lawn Fawn and layered it overtop of some coordinating pink card stock to show through the holes. I die cut the Thinking of You sentiment by Altenew, 4 times from black card stock and adhered the layers to create a nice dimensional piece. Again, the flower is stamped, then fussy cut and layered with the leaves, then tucked under the sentiment and glued in place. I added a couple of stitched lines at the bottom and some enamel dots to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
This is so beautiful!! I LOVE you ruse of the inks and the fun stitching on your card!
