Well, hello there crafty people! It's Ashlea and today I'm sharing a simple yet beautiful card featuring the Bloom stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio. (I didn't use them on this project but the coordinating dies are available here!) It's rare that you find a standard size stamp set that has beautiful images plus tons of everyday sentiments and this one is a treasure, for sure! There are large, bold sentiments and smaller accompanying sentiments that can be used in addition to make a more personalized sentiment.
For my card I decided to use both floral arrangements included in the set. To begin, I used my mini MISTI to line up the larger arrangement and the smaller arrangement vertically on a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" 110lb card stock. I made sure to leave a space in the center where I could then line up one of the bold sentiments. I chose "Thank You" and decided to skip the smaller accouterment sentiments.
One of the beautiful things about a stamp set/design like this one is that it just takes one step on your MISTI to get the entire card front stamped. Once I had everything lined up and ready to go, I inked the stamps up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, which is alcohol marker safe. The alcohol in the markers won't make the ink smudge when you're coloring. I kept the stamps where they were in the MISTI and colored the images with Copic markers. I really love the way the florals are illustrated on this set. They have a sketched look which is very popular right now and looks so beautiful.
Because I left the stamps in the MISTI, I was able to put the colored card front panel back into the MISTI, ink up the stamps once more, and stamp them again. This just gives the lines a much more crisp look. I like to do this especially with detailed stamps like this to give a finished look. Finally, I used Tombow Mono Multi glue to adhere the card front to a piece of 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" black piece of card stock to serve as a matted black background for my card front. I then adhered it all to an A2 sized card base with glue but you could always use foam tape if you're looking to add some dimension.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that you've enjoyed learning a bit about how I created this card and some tips and tricks I used along the way. Have a great week and I'll see you very soon!
This card is so beautiful. I really like your flowers colors.
