Hey, crafty friends!
If you're stopping by cause you just can't resist a good floral card, then you and I will be besties. :)
I don't really know the meaning of seasonal florals. Well, I do, but I break all the rules of seasons. When it's 20 degrees outside, I WILL be creating summer and spring florals because that what makes me happy. And if there's anything I've learned about cardmaking, it's that you should create what inspires you!
If you've stayed with me through that long Public Service Announcement, then you've given me another reason to be your best friend.
On to today's card!
Although this card may look complex, it was actually pretty easy to put together. I stamped images from an Altenew set in multiple ink combinations and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I set them aside and then created the background.
I cut and scored a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base from dark gray cardstock and then trimmed down an additional vellum panel and adhered it to the card base. I then used a background stamp and made an third panel and trimmed it down before adhering it on to the base at an angle, for added visual interest.
After arranging the floral images around the card, I used my Press N Seal to pick them up, and then applied foam tape to the back of the die cuts. I turned the Press N Seal over and laid them on to the card. Using this technique really saved me some time!
I used the sentiment die in the matching die set to cut several pieces of the matching gray cardstock and glued them all together. I adhered it down to my card front to finish everything off and then promptly squealed at all the floral loveliness!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!
