Happy Thursday crafty friends, Ashley D. here! The day has finally come, it’s Lawn Fawn Spring
2019 release day! Let stampers
everywhere rejoice! This collection is
so cute, and is available for shipment today. So of course, I just had to make a card including one of the new sets I happen
to acquire a little early at Creativation last month, and it sure does make me Hap-Pea
(pun intended!). This set it so versatile and unique, and is available now at Butterfly Reflections Ink.
To begin this card I stamped several peapods
from the new Lawn Fawn Be Hap-Pea set on a square piece of white cardstock in
Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers (YG03. YG11, YG63,
G82). I then added vines from Lawn Fawn Be Hap-Pea
and Pick of the Patch sets in green Memento Bamboo Leaves ink as well as adding
a few custom vines using the kite strings from Lawn Fawn Yay, Kites! set. I then stamped leaves from the Be Hap-Pea
set onto the vines and colored them in with Copic markers in the same green colors. I then cut the background out with a
stitched square die (3.25”).
To make the
little pea family I stamped two peas, the faces, and the open peapod, from the Hap-Pea
set on a piece of scrap white cardstock and colored them again in the same green
Copic colors, adding a bit of E93 for the cheeks, and cut them out. I didn’t have the coordinating dies, but they
are available now. For the baby pea, I
used the smiley face from the A Birdie Told Me set, and the bow (Y02, Y08) from
A Bun in the Oven, cutting it out with the coordinating die. I tucked the peas into the open peapod by
using a craft knife to make a slit in the pod.
The Be Hap-Pea coordinating dies do come with this option. I added two vines from Pick of the Patch, cut
out with the coordinating dies, to the top of the pod. I secured the pea family to the square background
with foam adhesive along with several flowers from the Lawn Fawn Booyah set, colored with Copic markers (Y02, E41), and cut with the coordinating die.
I
added little highlights to the colored images with a white Gelly Roll 08 pen,
and Stickles glitter glue (Firefly, Lime Green, and Yellow). For a bit more sparkle, I also added little
dots of Stickles in Star Dust to the background. For the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn Little Bundle and Hap-Pea sets, stamped in yellow and black ink, cut with the Lawn Fawn
Everyday Sentiment Banners, and attached with foam adhesive.
To finish the card, I layered the background onto
squares of yellow and green cardstock (Paper Source Sunshine & Clover), and
then onto a white scallop square cut from Spellbinders Lacy Squares, and
finally a white 4.25” square card base. Thank you for stopping by and I hope
everyone has a “Hap-Pea” Thursday and enjoys all the new Lawn Fawn products available
today. “Hap-Pea” stamping!
