Happy Tuesday fellow crafters! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun interactive card featuring Lawn Fawn's Magic Color Slider and their new Oh Gnome stamp set. This was a fun card to make and I especially love the final reveal!
I started off ink blending a panel using Distress Ink Oxides in Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean. I then ran it through my die cutting machine using Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop: Portrait die. I love this die because it easily creates a beautiful cloud background with a stitched edge. Then using a piece of Cilantro cardstock, I ran the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die through my die cutting machine. I stamped my sentiment from the new Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Spring stamp set. To create my flowers I used the Straight Flower Border die and ran through my machine 3 times. Once on green cardstock and then once on Sticky Note and another on Sunflower Lawn Fawn Cardstock. I adhered my flowers first directly on my ink blended panel using tape adhesive and my grass directly on top using foam adhesive for some dimension.
Now it was time to make my magic color slide. (the fun part lol) I started off running the Magic Color Slider die through my die cutting machine using a piece of patterned paper from the Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad. This die comes with all the components you will need to create the slider. I stamped my images from the Oh Gnome stamp set and also used a masking technique to have my gnome sitting on the cute mushroom. Once my images were stamped on the inside of my slider I colored with various copic markers.
Once, your inside images are stamped you can simply adhere a piece of Acetate on top to create the "window". I sealed my slider and now I can stamp the same images in the same exact spot on the acetate. I simply line them up with my colored images. Now I recommend using StazOn ink for this step as it does exactly what it says...it stays on! I've tried other premium dye inks and they kind of wipe right off the acetate.
And this is the fun part...the full reveal when you pull up on the tab and it goes from looking like a plain stamped image to a full color image!! I must have pulled the tab up at least 10 times just out of pure excitement!! I adhered directly on top of my ink blended panel and added some cute mushrooms in the grass. I hope you enjoyed this card because it was so easy and fun to make! This is such a great die because you can you with any stamp sets that you may already have or you can visit the shop and pick up some new ones to try!!
Wishing a fantastic week and make sure you stop by the shop!! See you next Tuesday!
