Big Birthday Hugs

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a fun birthday card featuring Mama Elephant! Bonus: it's full of rainbow goodness!

I started by blending Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mermaid Lagoon, and Wilted Violet with a blending brush onto white cardstock. I splattered the background with water and dabbed the excess with paper towel before hitting it with a heat gun to dry. I die cut another piece of cardstock with an A2 stitched rectangle die, and cut a two inch section out of it. I used Mama Elephant Scripty B-Day with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder for the sentiment on the bottom piece. I used foam adhesive to attach the two white pieces to my ink blended piece to make a rainbow strip across the front of the card.

I then stamped the cute critters from Mama Elephant Big News in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them with Copics. I stamped the greetings in the signs with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder, then die cut the pieces with the matching Mama Elephant Big News dies. I added the critters to the rainbow strip, using some foam squares to pop the elephant up a bit.
