Hi crafty peeps! Heather here with you today sharing a fun Magical Rain Shaker Card that I created!

I learned how to make these types of cards HERE (< that is the YouTube link) from my crafty friend, Laura, and they really are tons of fun! The first one you make will be a challenge - but after that you'll be a pro! FYI there is a new awesome die set called Falling From the Clouds by My Favorite Things that can really make creating a card like this so much easier - the best part - Vanessa has it stocked in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. Shop!! For my card I used a ton of Lawn Fawn products! I started by coloring and diecutting the adorable Fairy Friends stamp set, plus the adorable little teeny fairies from the A Little Sparkle stamp set! Next I pulled out my Distress Inks and inked a few pieces of Bristol Paper. The top of the scene was created using with Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough and the bottom panel (the sky) was created using Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender, and Dusty Concord - finished that off with a bit of gold watercolor splatters.

Then I cut out/created the top scene using Puffy Cloud Borders Lawn Cuts to make a few tree tops and the Bayou Backdrop Lawn Cuts. I backed the scene with a bit of acetate then added my images.

Next I went to town stringing about 6-8 seed beads onto some clear fishing line, tying knots on each end. I believe I made about 21 of these to fit on a standard size card. I mounted them into foam tape that was placed on the top/bottom of the purple card panel. I then added two additional layers of foam take so that everything would move smoothly and assembled the top card panel. I finished it off by trimming off the pieces of fishing line that were sticking out of the top/bottom of the card. I find that when creating these awesomely interactive cards that I prefer using acetate under my scene. Laura did not do this, but after a bit of trial and error, I find that it helps me build a better scene and none of the beads are obstructed. Thanks for peeking.
