Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a variation on the magical rain shaker card - a falling rainbow!
I started by creating my cloud background with the My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink. I die cut another piece of white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Squares and an A2 stitched rectangle so I could see where my window would be. I also embossed the sentiment from Sunny Studio Stamps Fabulous Flamingos with Versafine Onyx Black and clear powder.
I framed the window with foam tape and created the falling rainbow by stringing multiple colors of beads diagonally across the background. It helps to use double sided tape to hold the string in place on the foam! Once all the beads were on, I added a second layer of foam tape to sandwich the strings in place and give plenty of space for the beads to move. Tip: if the beads are sticking, add a bit of anti-static powder to the sides of the foam tape - no more sticking!
Before placing the top panel on the foam, I made the sand with Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Tea Dye and die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I stamped the flamingos and leaves from Sunny Studio Stamps Fabulous Flamingos in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I arranged them around the window, popping some images up with foam squares for a bit of dimension.
Aren't these flamingos just the cutest?! Thank you for stopping by to see my card! Have a wonderful day!
