Hi crafters and artsy peeps! Heather here with you today to share a fun card I created using the absolutely adorable Jump For Joy Stamp Set by Neat & Tangled!
I started off by Copic coloring these fun images then cut them out using the coordinating dies. Ps. Did you guys know that Vanessa carries a bunch of Copic Markers in the BRI Shop AND they're super affordable!.
Then I went to work on the watercolored galaxy background using my watercolor palette (which includes watercolors by both Mijello Mission Gold and Daniel Smith - but you can totally use any watercolors you have on hand!).
Here's the thing about watercoloring a galaxy background... 99% of the time it looks like a total failure until you're completely finished with it - and by "finished with it" I literally mean adding the "stars" at the end. Sometimes I like to use a nice white or black India Ink to do this because they're so delightful. Today I used the Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolors. Let me tell you, this watercolor set is AMAZING for the price!!! The colors are lush and vibrant and so delightfully opaque!! Perfect for stars! I finished the card off by adding a few Metallic Rose Gold Jewels by Pretty Pink Posh, a gold embossed sentiment, and grounding the card using my favorite Waffle Flower Crafts grassy border die.
That's all for me today friends. Happy Tuesday and go get your craft on!!
Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer. I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks . I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things...
