Hello crafty friends! It's Amanda again, and I hope you're having a lovely start to your week! I've been LOVING all the creations for this months Butterfly Reflections Ink Mood Board, and felt particularly inspired by it myself! Sometimes I get stuck on trying to color my images as realistic as possible, but it is so freeing to step out of the normal and let my imagination run wild! The card I'm sharing today uses all of those wonderful colors to create this Happy Harvest scene.
Step 1: I stamped out images from Lawn Fawn sets Happy Harvest and Gnome Sweet Gnome using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Except for my cornstalks which I stamped using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Scattered Straw. Then I colored my images with assorted alcohol markers.
Step 2: I die cut images using the coordinating Lawn Cuts from Happy Harvest and used scissors to cut out the mushroom from Gnome Sweet Gnome.
Step 3: Using the largest die from Lawn Fawn's Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables, I die cut two rectangles. On one of the rectangles, I cut out the hill using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border.
Step 4: Time to get inky! With my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes I blended Distress Oxide Tattered Rose on my cut out hillside border. For the clouds, I used my Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border to make a stencil and inked over it using Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass.
Step 5: Next I adhered the stitched hillside to the small dotted rectangle with tape runner. Then I matted that to a plain cream cardstock that was slightly bigger. I wanted to add a lot of dimension to this scene, so I matted it again on some dark teal paper from Lawn Fawn's Knock On Wood 6x6 paper pack. Finally I attached it all to my cardface.
Step 6: Lastly, I glued my colored images to the cardface using my Lawn Fawn glue tube. I also added some accents at the end with the Sakura Gelly Roll White Gel Pen.
I hope you're inspired to create something using this months mood board, and don't forget to join in on the fun challenge Popsiclesticks is hosting on her personal blog! I'll be back next Monday with a fun new card, but you can always check out what I'm up to every other day @cavewomancreations! Stay crafty folks!!
