I began my slimline card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that fits perfectly into the size 9A envelopes.
To create the background, I blended ripe persimmon, carved pumpkin, wild honey & mustard seed and added some brown & white birch trees along with some Christmas lights that I turned into Halloween lights and used the coordinating dies to cut out. Don't you just love the oranges we get to use for Halloween?! Some of my favorites!
For the grass, I took a grass die and cut it twice to extend it for the slimline size (just cover the spot that it connects with an image!) and I flipped the top over to add a bit of spooky grass above.
For the stand, I stamped the happy Halloween and witching you in Lawn Fawn jet black ink and colored with copic markers. Did you know that this ink can be used for alcohol markers AND watercoloring! Awesomeness! I then used the coordinating dies to cut out the stand and trimmed off the banner and added the string of lights.
Next, I stamped the witch & pumpkin, colored with copic markers and fussy cut out.
The adorable trick or treaters I stamped with the jet black ink, colored with copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut out. For a little bit of shimmer, I added wink of stella to the lights and added some white accents to the images using a white gel pen.
Thank you stopping by and that you are inspired to pull out your Halloween stamps and start creating!
