Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all are having a great start to your week! Today I'm sharing a fun family Christmas scene that I hope you'll love.
To create this card, I started by stamping images out from Lawn Fawn stamp sets Beary Happy Holidays, Lovable Legends, Snow Cool, Mermaid For You, and Christmas Dreams on white cardstock. Most of the images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, but I stamped the trees in Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio. I colored and cut out the images.
For the background, I measured three pieces of white cardstock at 4X6 inches. With the first piece, I die cut the mountains with Lawn Cut Stitched Mountain Borders. On another piece, I cut out the hill using Stitched Hillside Borders. I also cut the bottom off to leave space for the water. With the last 4X6 white cardstock piece, I ink blended Distress Ink Shaded Lilac to create a soft purple sky. I used Distress Ink Pumice stone to ink the mountains but leaving the bottom alone. Then using Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon, I inked the bottom edge of the cardstock.
I assembled my background using a tape runner. When adhering the hillside to the scene, I just wanted to make sure to leave enough room for the ice to be floating in the water. After my background was finished, I added the images using my Lawn Fawn glue tube. My scene was then matted to some black cardstock and adhered to my card face! To add those finishing touches, I also put a few gel pen accents here and there.
I hope you all enjoyed my first Christmas card of the season! You can find a bunch of the wonderful products I used today at the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop! You can also find more of my creations on Instagram @CaveWomanCreations. I'll be back next week with some more holiday fun. Until then, I wish you all a wonderful week.
