Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays!

Hey friends! Britney here with a card featuring several Lawn Fawn products (Ho-Ho-Holidays, Mini String of Lights, and Rooftop Border). I was really imagining Santa being excited and diving into a chimney, and then gifts flying everywhere after his dive. Let’s get started. If you’ve ever read any of my previous blog posts before, you know I like to start with my background first. I inked up my panel with Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides. I think splattered it with white gouache and Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.  

While I let my background dry, I started die cutting my roof. I die cut one piece out of white cardstock, which I used Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper ink and stencil to make the bricks. Then I cut a grey roof piece and two black roof pieces. I stacked and glued all of those together. Then I inked up my chimney with the same color and used some white gouache to make the “grout”. 

Next, I used a Snow Pen to get the snow on my rooftop and chimney. I like how it gives it a different type of look for snow. Now that all of that was done, I started on my lights. I inked up some white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Noble Fir ink to give the lights that Christmas Tree light look. After my lights were assembled and my roof was attached to my card base, I put Glossy Accents on all of my bulbs to give them a nice shiny look. I set that aside to dry. 

I stamped my images with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black Ink and colored my images with Copic Markers. I finished off my images by adding some highlights with a white gel pen. I used a black glaze pen on the reindeer’s eye. I popped up the images, the chimney, and sentiment strip using some foam tape and glued all the other images directly to the card base. I used Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper ink to ink up a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a sentiment strip. I used Versamark Ink and white embossing powder for my sentiment and my Ho, Ho, Ho! I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day!
