Hot Cocoa with Friends

Hello! Candice with you today and I have a Hot Chocolate Party with Friends for you!  I absolutely love combining stamp companies and love that I can find all my favorites at one place, Butterfly Reflections, Ink

I did use tons of products from Hello Bluebird & Avery Elle from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store:
I began my card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits nicely into the size 9A envelopes.

When I saw the November Mood Board colors of Juniper, Rust, Currant, & Gold, I knew I needed to try them on a cute Christmas card using all my new sets!

For my background, I heat embossed the snow in white and inked with pine needles & evergreen bough oxide inks.  I then die cut the snowhills, gluing the two together and pop dotting along the bottom.

I then die cut the warm wishes multiple times, inked with rusty hinge, spiced marmalade & dried marigold and layered to create a thick sentiment.  I heat embossed the cocoa sentiment in gold on a stitched banner and pop dotted in the center.

Next, I stamped the deer, bear, fox, bunny with cup, little bunny, lights, cocoa stand, ornaments and fox in stand, colored with copic markers, and die cut out using the coordinating dies listed above.

I added a bit more gold by coloring in the cups with a gold pen.

You can enter your card using the November Mood Board colors for your chance to win $20 to the store, details can be found here!

Thank you for visiting!

  3. Candice, I loved your opening remark about combing stamp sets/companies. I do too! And your card is proof that when it's done right, it's a bonus in my humble opinion for both companies. The Avery Elle Cocoa Stand is such a plus to the Hello Bluebird set, Cocoa Party. Your card(s) are wonderful and you showcase all the company products so nicely! Happy New Year!
