Hi Everyone! Can you believe November is already here? The holidays will be here soon, and before you know it, we will be in the new year! I'm going to be sharing some holiday cards with you all this month and in the month of December.
Today, I have a colorful holiday card featuring an adorable gingerbread family. I also added some fun details to make the card extra special!
To start, using a standard A2 card base cut from Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended the following distress oxide colors (top to bottom): mermaid lagoon and seedless preserves.
On the side I mixed Liquitex gloss super heavy gel and white acrylic paint to create a thick white paste. I applied the paste to the bottom of the ink blended card base using a spatula and let it dry overnight. I love how the paste looks like frosting when dry!
Then using a separate piece of white cardstock, I cut out the border using fancy scalloped rectangle stackables and adhered it to my card base with liquid glue.
The sentiment from offset sayings christmas was stamped using VersaMark ink and white heat embossed. The scripty sweet die from Lawn Fawn was cut from white card stock and foam mounted to the card base. The entire card front was then glued to an A2 card base.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Looking forward to sharing more holiday projects with you all later this month. Until then, have a lovely rest of your week!

Next, the images from sweet christmas were stamped on heavy weight card stock and colored using copic markers. The images were then cut using the coordinating dies. Each image was mounted to the card base using foam tape or liquid glue. For added sparkle, I topped the candies with different colored Stickles (any glitter glue product would work). Nuvo drops added to create the white dots on the gingerbread family and the house.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Looking forward to sharing more holiday projects with you all later this month. Until then, have a lovely rest of your week!
