Morning crafty friends, it's Julianne here back with a snow globe inspired Christmas card just in time for Christmas. This is my first shaped card and I just love how it turned out. I have had the Honey Bee Snow Buddies stamp set for awhile now and really wanted to make a card with those cute snowmen.
I started off by using some nested circle dies to cut my card base as well as the shaker element. To make a border around the snow globe I used two of the nested dies together on both white and silver glitter cardstock and adhered them together to get some dimension. Next I started working on the design of the card, I knew I wanted all 3 snowmen in the card as well as one of the bunnies and birds. With a lot of masking I was able to fit each image in along with all the cute accessories that are also included in the set. I have mentioned before how much I love HoneyBee Stamp products, the amount of images and sentiments you get in their sets is amazing.
Once I had all my masking completed I started my coloring, I used copic markers for this. It is hard to tell with all the glitter in the snow globe but once I was completed with my coloring I added some white highlights to not only the images but I also drew snowflakes in the background.
Using the same nested circle dies I die cut some Hero Arts Acetate Sheets to make the shaker portion of the card adhering it with some more liquid adhesive. I added some foam adhesive to the back of the shaker and before adhering to my card base I added some Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter to act as snow. I decided before I adhered the shaker to stamp a sentiment as well as a snowmen on the inside to compete the card.
