HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone!!! I hope you had a fun and safe New Year's Eve. I wouldn't go to sleep last night until I knew friends we had over were home safely and I heard from my oldest son. There's the MOM in me. HAHA
I am so excited to welcome our new Design Team for this term. As always, there were so many fabulous applicants and it's so hard to make this decision. I truly struggle each and every time.
Our first member is someone I've been a HUGE fan/follower of on Instagram. I had posted a photo to IG and her comment made me laugh so I knew we would be friends. Tammy Stark is a Design Team member of Lawn Fawn and Hello Bluebird, two of my faves!!! When she played along with this month's mood board for the shop, I fell in love with the card she created, as I always do. <3

We have a NEWBIE up next. You might know by now that I try to pick at least one Design Team member who's never been on a DT before. I feel like sometimes you see the same people over and over and while they are truly amazing, there are so many other TALENTED crafters out there.
Laura Pyle was a lawyer in her pre-mom life, but now stays home with her two elementary-age kids and volunteers a lot at their school. (Sidenote: that is not a gig for me! LOL) She hasn't purchased a card in YEARS and spends her free time making cards.
EEEK! Silvia Galloni is joining us all the way from Italy. I only recently started following her and let me tell you... if you haven't been following her, GO. NOW! She creates the most amazing scenes and I was lucky enough to receive one of her magical creations in the mail. 💌Silvia is a stay-at-home mom and is currently an IG Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm, another one of my FAVES!!!
Ashley Young is from Canada and currently off on her honeymoon. <3 She has a PhD (you go girl!!!) and works as a Medical Device Analyst. She is on the Penguin Palace DT and creates such cute scene cards which you can watch her create on her YouTube channel. It shocked me to see that she has under 400 followers on Instagram, but I know that will soon be changing. The only reason I'm even pointing it out is that I was reading some comments recently on applying for Design Teams and people were saying that you have to have tons of followers to be considered and I'm here to say that is simply not true. Don't let that hinder you from applying!
Lastly, we have Saedra Oldham joining us. Saedi has been married for almost 20 years and has 6 children and her daughters love to craft with her. She fell in love with papercrafting when she was 12 years old and scrapbooked for many years, but she was just introduced to stamping and cardmaking a year ago. How is that possible, girl? Welcome, glad to have ya. haha Saedi has played along with our mood board a few times and I just loved this one.
So there's our new team! I'm so excited to have each one of them and hope you enjoy their creations! I don't have any resolutions for New Years, BUT I do have GOALS!!! This year they're BIG. Want to know what it is? I am hoping to do $1,000 a day in sales! That is a LOT (way more than I currently do) and probably unattainable (LOL), but I figured if I put it out there, *maybe* it'll happen. Some days I still don't get ANY orders. Other days make up for it. It's definitely been an adventure with this business, but I hope to see continued growth this year. The store itself has been really amazing and moving to the larger space was the right decision. It's been so fun to meet customers who are so passionate about their hobby and are as giddy as I am over the stamps that come in. I truly wish all of the stamp designers and companies much success in the New Year. Without THEM, I couldn't do what I do and I couldn't do it without YOU either. I appreciate you for supporting me and my dreams!
Love you all and wishing you the best 2020 can bring you!!!
Vanessa
