Hello!
Happy New Year, and happy first blog post of this decade from me! Ha!
Today I'm sharing an adorable card using an Avery Elle stamp set!
I just love those koala images from the Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! But never fear, if you're not a fan of fussy cutting - there are coordinating dies that make it SO much easier!
Next, I moved on to the background!
I used some circle dies to die cut out a 'stencil' from cardstock. I placed that piece (with the circle cut out), on top of my card base. then I used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio to ink blend the background!
I also used the Tropical Leaves Stencil from Newton's Nook Designs to add some foliage! I used the same Distress Ink colors, but more pressure to create the darker color of leaves!
I finished it off by splattering some water, white acrylic paint and gold mist on top!
I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto a strip of black cardstock.
The koalas and the phrases were popped up with foam tape!
As you're heading into this new year, make sure you remember that YOU'RE THE BEST!
Happy shopping!
