Hey everyone, it's Julianne here back with a slimline card featuring a newer stamp set by My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze! I have been wanting a citrus related stamp set but nothing was just right until MFT came out with this stamp set. So I grabbed it up as soon as it came out and finally decided to make these two cards to share with you.
I started out my stamping all of the main squeeze images onto some Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper since I planned on using my Karin Brushmarker Pros today. I stamped them all with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them using clear embossing powder.
For my water coloring today I used the following colors: Canary, Gold, Apple and Grass. I decided to color in all of my images in yellow to be lemons but you could definitely do them as orange or limes. Once I had them all colored in I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out by running them thru my die cutting machine.
While die cutting I ran some more of that Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper thru using the Trinity Stamps Slimline Card Series Card Panels and Windows die set to die cut out my background panels for both of my cards today. I did some ink blending using Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet.
Once my ink blending was done I splattered some water as well as some perfect pearls to both of my backgrounds before I started assembling both of my shaker cards. I used a variety of different sequin mixes for my shaker windows and adhered my ink blended panels down to my card base using foam adhesive. I then adhered all of my images onto my card as well as some additional sequins throughout using liquid adhesive.
