Happy Saturday crafty friends, Ashley D. here! So excited to be back on the Butterfly
Reflections Ink Blog today. Daily life
is looking a lot different for most of us these days, including wearing a face mask
everywhere we go here in Washington State.
The continued restrictions and social-distancing has been hard for everyone
- missing events, family, and friends, but we’re trying the best we can. I
thought it would be appropriate to create a card with some masked little critters,
since face coverings have become our new normal. But I really do miss seeing everyone’s faces
and smiles!
I began by stamping a variety of animals from Avery Elle’s Peek-A-Boo
series (Peek-A-Boo Pets, Peek-A-Boo Pals, Polar Peek-A-Boo Pals) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto alcohol marker paper and colored them with various Copic markers. I die cut each with the coordinating die (Peek-A-Boo Pets Elle-Ments, Peek-A-Boo Pals Elle-Ments, Polar Peek-A-Boo Pals Elle-Ments), and added little masks to each
of their cute faces using the nurse’s hat from Lawn Fawn Get Well Before ‘n Afters flipped upside down. I cut them our with the corresponding Lawn Fawn Get Well Before n' Afters Lawn Cuts and added little ties using a Micron pen.
I added each of the animals with foam tape, and made a sentiment banner using the end of the airplane banner (x2) from Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Spring (die cut with the corresponding Simply Celebrate Spring Lawn Cuts) with a custom sentiment created using Lawn Fawn Jessie’s ABCs. I finished by added the little animal’s paws and hooves using Micro Glue Dots. Thanks for stopping by and stay safe everyone!
