Hello crafty folks! It's Jenny here again - excited to be joining you over here on the BRI blog! Today I have soft floral project to share with you with plenty of stamping, heat embossing and Copic coloring.
To create my card, I first inked up the Pinkfresh Studio Lush Vines background stamp with Hot Tub ink by Catherine Pooler Designs and stamped it on a panel of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I also die cut the PFS Pretty Frames 2 die from the same cardstock, chose one of the die cuts and coated it with Hot Tub then adhered it to my stamped background with Art Glitter glue (my favorite glue ever!)
My floral frame is the Pinkfresh Studio Take Pride stamp set, which I first stamped on X-Press It white cardstock using Gina K Warm Glow amalgam ink, which is Copic safe. I planned to heat emboss the image but first I wanted to color it with my Copics and they don't mix well with heat. embossing. I made sure to use my Mini Misti to stamp it and left the stamp in the MISTI for later.
Here are the Copic colors I used for my image.
Once i finished my coloring, I added the image back into my MISTI and restamped with WOW! embossing ink and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Rich Pale Gold superfine embossing powder. I then die cut it with the co-ordinating die. I also die cut Take Pride frame four more times and adhered all of them together to create a thick almost chipboard like frame which I popped up on foam squares onto my card panel.
The sentiment is from the same PFS stamp set - I pulled out the centre of the Take Pride die from the excess I die cut and heat embossed the sentiment in the same gold embossing powder. I then popped it into the frame with some glue. As a finishing touch I scattered some Charleston Catherine Pooler Designs sequins across the card - the colors pair perfectly with the Copics I used!
I love how this turned out - I hope you do too and it gave you some inspiration!
