Hello crafty friends! Davina here with a late post. I’ve been so busy and unable to concentrate lately. I knew I had a post coming up and when I looked, I saw I missed it by a day. I am the worst... but I will try to make it up to you with a super cute Center Picture Window Card.
I sat down this afternoon in hopes of making up for my faux pas. I wanted to use the new Lawn Fawn mini stamp set I Like You (A Lotl), and I wanted to somehow make a New Years Card using the December BRI Moodboard after playing around with some ideas I got to work.
I selected a dusky sky blue for my base layer, and used the Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window dies to cut the base and window pop out portion. I cut the window part using the smallest Stitched Den Cuts since Axolotl live in very few fresh water bodies And caves in Mexico. Next, I cut some Kraft cardstock using the Slimline Stitched Hillside to create a sandy bottom, and a background hillside as well.
I stamped images from I Like You (A Lotl), Christmas Fishes, Party Animal and Happy Wedding. I colored everything with copic markers using colors from the current BRI Moodboard, then die cut with coordinating dies. I arranged all of the images across (and inside) the spread, and even included some party hats, noise blowers, and champagne for the celebration. I created some extra green foliage using the Shadow Box Ocean Add On die set. The little sea weeds were perfect using emerald cardstock scraps.
For the front panel, I created some paper layers using patterned paper, glittery gold cardstock, and another Kraft hillside. I heat embossed a sentiment across the top of my paper layers. I also used partially inkblended, die cut letters, from Oliver’s ABCs to spell the word Cheer, and used my finger to spread some glittery embossing paste across the top. Finally after tucking some water foliage around the sentiment along with a champagne glass to toast the occasion, this little power packed card is done!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you like this little card. There are still a couple of days to use the December Bri Moodboard, and use the hashtag #brimoodboard for your chance to win $20 to the shop.
