Happy Friday and welcome back to the blog! Today I'm using the February Mood Board to create some non valentines cards! Just like last week they are super quick to make with ZERO coloring, unless ink blending is coloring!
I've really been enjoying creating ink blended backgrounds, so I pulled out some distress oxides to match the mood board.
For both cards I used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides.
For the first card, I started by inking up an A2 panel to create an pink ombre. Then I diecut it using the Spring Frame Die. I backed it with some acetate to create a shaker, I adhered it to a light grey A2 card base, and filled it with Midnight Black Jewels. For the sentiment I die cut 'hello' from from the Hello Friend Script Die and added 'friend' from the Simple Sentiments Stamp Set.
For the second card I used the Birthday Background Stencil to create an inked background. Then I created a shaker using the Balloon Shaker Die and filled it with Pewter Seed Beads.
And, here's a rainbow bonus card! I've been playing around with the new mini slimline card size and thought I'd sneak in a card! I used the Party Days Stamp Set colored in rainbow order with copics, and partial die cut.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to tag us at #BRImoodboardchallenge on instagram so we can see your projects and for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink!
Happy crafting!
