Hi everyone! Peggy here with some moodboard inspiration and yet another party card. Birthday cards are my very favorite cards to make!
This month Lawn Fawn celebrates their 11th birthday and the Lawn Fawnatics blog celebrates 4 years of fun challenges. On March 13th there is a Facebook Live event at the Lawn Fawn page, where we get to create with the newest release stamp set Bubbles of Joy A supply list is up on their page and you can get all of these things at Butterfly Reflections, Ink., of course! But for now, let's get this party started!
This celebration calls for an abundance of cute critters and what's better than those cute mice. I stamped my images from the following sets: Elphie Selfie (cake), Scripty Bubble Sentiments (Standing bubble blowing mouse and happy and hugs sentiments), Special delivery Add-on (big gift box), Gleeful gardens (Envelope), Bubbles of Joy (All the mice), Really high five (Balloons, mouse, party hats and gift), Home for the holidays (Stack of gifts), Octopi my heart (bow tie), and Celebration countdown (largest balloon). I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them in with my copics in this month's moodboard colors.
I started by cutting a panel of 3.5 x 8.5 inch for my scene. I used the simple grassy hillside borders to cut three layers from a small stitched slimline panel, which will be my meadow. I used distress oxide cracked pistachio and lucky clover to ink blend my meadow and distress oxide squeezed lemonade, tumbled glass and spun sugar to ink blend the sky. I used a paint brush to splatter some distress oxide inks to give some interest.
So I started by adhering my sky and the adjourning meadow pieces to my card base. With layered cards like this I feel it is best to arrange the images where you want them on your card and then start adhering them one by one. The mice and the balloons were adhered with glossy accents which I always use as a liquid adhesive. I finished my scene on the front and added highlights with a white gel pen and glossy accents.
I hope this card makes you smile!
Long distance hugs!
Peggy
