Hello friends and happy Fri-YAY! This is Crystal Komara here with you today. Last weekend I was actually at the Butterfly Reflections Ink store in person and I was fortunate to be able to teach two classes to some beginner and regular card-makers in the area. If you missed out, or weren't able to attend, please mark your calendars for June 25th and 26th because we'll be offering more card making classes in the store! Be sure to follow Vanessa on Facebook and Instagram for all the details.
Today I am sharing one of the slimline classes we made in the first class using a variety of mixed products. Currently I am so in love with all the floral stamps from Pinkfresh Studio, so the Leafy Decor stamp set is the main image on this card, but I did embellishment it with a word layering die from Honey Bee Stamps and I even an added sentiment from Newton's Nook Designs. I love to combine products from all my favorite companies! Please continue reading to see how I made this card step-by-step.
Using the Leafy Decor stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I used the coordinating Leafy Decor die to cut the image out. I colored the image very lightly with Copic markers V55, V66, G07 and G11. I adhered the Leafy Decor image vertically down the card using foam adhesive for dimension. Using the Honey Bee Stamps layering Honey Cut Hello word dies, I die cut two of the three layers in black cardstock and white cardstock. I layered the two images together and adhered the sentiment to the card with foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment "wishing you a beautiful day" from the Newton's Nook Monarchs stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a thin strip of white cardstock. I adhered this sentiment strip to the card also using foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for a little sparkle.
